Jim Pruitt
Jim Pruitt received his Juris Doctor from Baylor Law School and has been licensed to practice law in the State of Texas since 1984. Mr. Pruitt has been working in the criminal law field for over 25 years in Dallas, and is Board Certified in Criminal Law.
Jim Pruitt was elected to be a Dallas County Criminal Judge for Court Number Two and served the county for eight years. During his tenure, Mr. Pruitt was the Presiding Judge for three years and a Local Administrative Judge for two years. Mr. Pruitt has also been a member of the National Judicial College and the State Bar of Texas College. Before taking the bench, Mr. Pruitt worked as a sole practitioner and as Partner of Kirzner & Pruitt, P.C. Mr. Pruitt was also a Prosecutor for the Town of Sunnyvale from 1993 until 1995.
While on the bench, Jim Pruitt was the Co-founder and Lecturer for the Weapons Education Safety Training Program. Mr. Pruitt has been a member of the Dallas County DWI Task Force, the Interlock Ignition Advisory Council, the American Probation and Parole Association and the Dallas County Bail Bond Board. Mr. Pruitt has also served as Chairman of the Criminal Law Section of the Dallas Bar Association, which is a group comprised of over 9000 lawyers in the Dallas area.
Mr. Pruitt is a speaker for various organizations and has been invited to publish articles and deliver speeches on various legal subjects including weapons law, expert witnesses, expunctions and orders of nondisclosure, driving while intoxicated, mental illness, ignition interlock systems, probation practices, general trial practice, and recent developments in various aspects of the law. In addition, Mr. Pruitt or his cases have been profiled or quoted numerous times in local newspapers and news programs.
Jim Pruitt has been back in private practice since 2003, when he became Managing Partner of Culpepper & Pruitt. Currently, Mr. Pruitt is the Managing Partner and a mediator for The Pruitt Law Firm.

Jamie Pruitt
Jamie Pruitt received her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Southwest Texas State University (currently, Texas State University- San Marcos) where she received an award for Most Outstanding Pre-Law Student in the College of Applied Arts and Technology.
Ms. Pruitt attended California Western School of Law in San Diego and became licensed as a California attorney. While in law school, Ms. Pruitt was named in Who’s Who among American Law Students and was selected as a Distinguished Advocate for the Oral Advocacy Honors Board. Jamie was invited to compete as a member of the Negotiation Team and Client Counseling Team on behalf of California Western. Jamie was also selected to participate in California Western’s Advanced Mediation Program where she studied theories of human conflict and various resolution and preventative law techniques.
Jamie Pruitt opened a solo practice, Jamie Pruitt Law, and focused her services around business formation, business planning and art law. She quickly became well-known in the San Diego legal community and was nominated for the San Diego Young Attorney Award in her first year of practice.
Jamie Pruitt recently received her Master of Law (LL.M.) in Intellectual Property from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago. Ms. Pruitt was also an adjunct professor at Kendall College in Chicago, where she taught Business Law and Professional Roadmapping.
In 2009, Ms. Pruitt returned to Texas to practice law and practices criminal law, family law and business law for the Pruitt Law Firm. Ms. Pruitt also works as a skilled mediator for business and family law disputes.
